Unsubscribe or Opt-Out
All users and/or visitors to our website have the option to discontinue receiving communication from us and/or reserve the right to discontinue receiving communications by way of email or newsletters. Personal Data Retention
Pending and Failed Orders – These are orders that remain unpaid and have been abandoned by the customer. Pending orders will be trashed after 48 hours (2 days).
Canceled Orders – These are orders that remain unpaid and were canceled by either the customer or store management. Canceled orders will be trashed after 24 hours (1 day).
Completed Orders – These orders have been paid in full and shipped to the customer. Personal information in these orders will be securely stored for 60 days in case any disputes should arise. After 60 days, all personal data will be anonymized before the order is permanently stored.
Inactive Accounts – Accounts that have not logged in or placed an order after a period of 2 years will have all personal data wiped from the system. The customer will be able to create a new account if they wish to do so. However, the personal data attached to their previous account will be lost.
Data Erasure Requests – At any time, a user can request that their personal information be erased from the system. This will not immediately erase personal data from orders stored in the system. Personal data on pending, failed, or completed orders will be erased once the time limits have naturally expired. Account erasure requests can be submitted via email to customerservice@equestrianwriter.com. Please note that once completed, this action is irrevocable. All data will be lost. If the user wishes to open a new account, they are welcome to do so.
